Sky-diving spectacular to kick-off science festival
When the sky-dive their way into Exeter City Football Club’s grounds, they will be launching this year’s BA Festival of Science with a spectacular demonstration of the laws of physics. Gravity will be pulling them faster and faster towards the ground, but as they open their parachutes, they will (fortunately!) feel the opposing force of drag which will slow their descent to terminal velocity and provide a safe landing.
“This spectacular sky-dive will launch an exciting programme of events in the city of Exeter and beyond,” said Annette Smith, Science Events Manager at the BA. “The Festival in the City programme also includes science magic in the town centre, a Café Scientifique with Lord Winston and group hypnosis, so there is certain to be something for everyone.”
SPECIAL DEAL: Festival-goers can get £1 off entry to the football game if they show their Festival tickets. (Excludes entry to double stand.)
