Win a trip to the BA Festival of Science
The theme of this year’s BA Festival of Science, which will take place in Exeter 6-10 Sept, is “the responsibility of being a scientist” and we want to know what you think scientists should do in the future.

Enter the BA Science Communicators competition for the chance to win a trip to the festival for yourself, and membership to the BA Science Communicators award scheme for your school.

There are two age categories:

11-15 year olds: Design an A4 poster aimed at scientists, to let them know what you think they ought to be doing in the future. What kind of developments would you like to see in medicine, technology, the environment or other areas of science that interest you? Use eye catching images and text to get your message across!

16-19 year olds: Tell us, in 800 words; what kinds of research you think scientists should do in the next 50 years and why. Make your article as persuasive and interesting as you can, feel free to be imaginative and creative!

A prize winner in each age category will be selected to attend the BA Festival of Science at the University of Exeter, where your work will be displayed. You will have the chance to meet the high profile scientists, attend their press conferences and go to your choice of events for young people. The winner’s schools or organisation will receive 1 year’s free membership to the BA Science Communicators award scheme.

Send your entries on A4 paper to the BA, Science Communicators Competition, Wellcome Wolfson Building, 165 Queen’s Gate, London, SW7 5HE with your name, address, and contact details of your school.

The closing date for all entries is 24th June and winners will be contacted after 1st July.
