Through activity and project-based awards schemes, the BA aims to make science fun, accessible and relevant to all young people from primary through to secondary school.
We provide workshop sessions for teachers, ITT students, SETPOINTs and education conferences on running science clubs. We show how you can use our activities to enhance the curriculum, promote your students’ investigative skills and have a ready resource for use in your science clubs and science lessons.
"Tin cans, Alka seltzer and marshmallows" is an interactive workshop for primary level educators. We discuss the benefits of running a science club, methods of delivering the activities and where to go for support. There is the chance to try out a range of activities.
"Tin cans, Alka seltzer and controversial issues" is a similar workshop for secondary level educators. As well as covering the material above, we present information on BA CREST awards and the BA Science Communicators scheme.
Come along to one of our INSET sessions at the Teacher's Evening, part of the BA Festival of Science in Exeter.
