The best CREST projects in each category: bronze, silver and gold, receive the Research Councils Prize: money for the school science department.
The best individuals entering a CREST project receive the AstraZeneca Young Scientist of the Year Prize: a trophy and money for the winner to use to further their studies. There are two age categories: under 16 and over 16.
