Scientists are increasingly being asked to communicate ethical and social issues that arise from their work.
However, there are few opportunities for scientists, at the beginning of their career, to obtain experience in discussing social implications of their research.
At this year’s BA festival post-graduate and post-doctoral scientists funded by the MRC and EPSRC are encouraged to explore the social and ethical implications of their research by entering perspectives—a poster session with a difference.
24 successful scientists will be selected from all the applicants to design and exhibit their posters at the BA Festival of Science at the University of Exeter between 6 and 10 September.
