The Office of Science and Technology is supporting a bursary scheme for this year’s science communication conference, jointly organised by the BA and The Royal Society.
The bursaries are designed to attract a wider range of delegates to the conference and are available to the following target audiences:
Science communication students
Non-governmental organisations – one application per organisation
Freelancers/microbusinesses (less than 10 employees) – one application per organisation
Local community leaders/community development organisations – one application per organisation
Bursary recipients will have their conference fees paid and be eligible for a contribution of up to £300 per person to assist with travel and accommodation expenses. (Please specify on your application form the amount needed to cover these expenses)
There are five bursaries for each of the four target audiences and places will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis. Additional bursaries may be awarded depending on the level of interest within each target group.
Applications for the bursaries opened online on Tuesday 6 April. Applicants must be resident in the UK.
