Why support the BA?
Science touches all of our lives. The food we eat, the healthcare we receive, the way we communicate, the way we work and the way we get from A to B are all shaped by science. It helps us to understand our world, the universe around it and all that lives within it.

"Science, engineering and technology shape the world we live in. The BA plays a vital role in creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn about, debate and question the role science plays in our lives today."

- Sir David Attenborough, BBC Wildlife Presenter

The BA is a charity whose mission is to connect science with people, making science itself and the ways in which it is applied accessible to all. It provides opportunities for people of all ages to have their say on the most important science issues of the day.

The BA runs award schemes for young people of every ability, encouraging participation and excellence. Through a vibrant regional network, the BA runs cutting edge events including the BA Festival of Science, National Science Week, talks, discussions and public consultations.

As a registered charity, the BA needs your support to deliver this critical programme of activities.
